I have had a long 2014 so far. I have been dealing with another bout with pneumonia and a hard time with fibromyalgia…it has been crippling at times. I think it is under control. (yeah right) But I have been working on my biggest project ever. And I mean EVER. I have expanded my quilt design business to include a………………QUILT SHOP!!!! Yes that’s right….I am opening a quilt shop. I just signed the lease last week and my better half moved everything out of our house (fabric, notions, quilts, furniture) this past Saturday into the shop. So this week I am going everyday to try and get stuff set up. I have been told by many people that I purchased too much….well what do they know….I now need more. The space seems very empty. Needless to say I am very excited and hope you all are able to visit. The name of the shop is “The Stitchin’ Studio”…..530 Commerce Ave. Ste A., Palmdale, CA 93551. 661.267.1909. The phone will be installed on Thursday. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to get them out of my phone.
I will be at the Glendale Show in Pasadena, this Friday and Saturday, March 21 & 22. If your in the area stop by. I will post again after the show to show you what I'm working on. Have a good weekend!!
So my new employee is slacking already...she started track and is feeling really tired....can't blame her. Anyway, she did accompany me to the La Habra show....we had a good time. I took some really nice pics of my favorite quilts of the show....now if I could just figure out how to get them out of my cell phone, I could show them to you. I will figure it out sometime today. So right now I am getting ready for the Glendale Show next weekend. I am working on a new quilt, "The Auction". I traced the design to muslin and started stitchin' it on the first day of the La Habra show last Saturday AND I have about 30 minutes worth of stitchin' left.....YEAHHHHHH......I am hoping I will have the top done by next week for Glendale...fingers crossed. I will post a sneak peak at the stitchery part in a little bit....
